We love this museum and it was immediately on top of our list when we began to consider venues. It occupies a historic oyster cannery, the last one standing of what used to be a major industry around Baltimore's harbor. It's full of cool stuff and exhibits—sometimes we get bored at weddings (of course not at your wedding, reader), and so we wanted there to be plenty to do at ours. During the cocktail hour, some rooms will feature attendants providing explanations and demonstrations.

The George Peabody Library

Welcome Dinner
Friday, October 30th
6:30 - 10:30 PM

Address: 17 E. Mount Vernon Place, Baltimore, MD 21202
Phone: (443) 840-9585
Parking: We will be providing complementary valet service. There is street parking in the area, but it can be difficult to find a spot and many blocks have time restrictions.
Dress Code: Gentlemen: Jackets required.

A party in a library? Yeah, but this is the most magnificent library ever. It was one of our top ceremony/reception contenders, and so we were thrilled when Dave's mom picked it to host the welcome dinner. Everyone invited to the wedding is also invited to this event.

Lord Baltimore Hotel

International Room
Sunday, November 1st
8:30 - 11:30 AM

Address: 20 W. Baltimore Street, Baltimore, MD 21201
Phone: (410) 539-8400
Parking: The hotel has a private parking lot.

This is one of our three hotels with reserved room blocks. It is on the National Register of Historic Places and some people online claim it is haunted. So it should be a lovely brunch.

Brookshire Suites

After Party
Rooftop Lounge
Saturday, October 31st
Following the reception

Address: 120 E. Lombard Street, Baltimore, MD 21202
Phone: (855) 345-5033
Parking: There are parking garages in the area.

This is another one of our three hotels with reserved room blocks. We are aiming for some kind of hot, late night style food and cold, late night style beer. The rooftop lounge is a public space, so if we're lucky we may get some crashers.
